Snow, community and courage - Winter Pride returns to Ramundberget
On March 19-22, 2026, it's time again. Ramundberget Winter Pride is organized for the third year in a row. The festival is unique in its kind. It is Sweden's only pride festival held in a mountain environment during the winter, and the only one where the pride parade goes down a mountain on skis and snowboard.
The initiator is Sebastian Sjöberg, ski school manager in Ramundberget. He has personal experience of being queer in an industry where norms and traditions have long dominated. This was the starting point for an initiative on openness and representation in the mountains. Today, the event has grown into a national meeting place for inclusion in skiing and outdoor life.
The mountains should feel natural to everyone. We want to clearly show that LGBTI people belong here," says Sebastian Sjöberg.
Ramundberget will be filled with colorful activities, entertainment, ski competitions and music - all with a focus on creating an inclusive and loving mountain environment for everyone.
