The tide flag was designed in 1998 by Michael Page
Michael Page wanted to create a counterpart to the gay community's rainbow flag to increase the bisexual group's visibility in both LGBT and heterosexual environments.
The different colors in Biflaggan have the following meaning:
Magenta = love for one's own gender (homosexuality)
Blue = love of the opposite sex (heterosexuality)
Purple = love for both sexes (bisexuality)
