Lakeside Pride is Askersund's own Pride festival, which started in 2018 on the initiative of Askersund Municipality and Zinkgruvan Mining.
The festival is organized as a Pride week with activities for all ages. The program usually includes lectures, culture, sports, creative activities and a final family day in the harbor.
The aim is to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and highlight the equal value of all people. The event is run in collaboration between the municipality, businesses, associations and residents, and has become a regular meeting place for community and inclusion.
