Pulse Remembrance 12 of June

Pulse Remembrance is a day we will all remember.

On June 12, 2016, guests were enjoying Latin Night at the Pulse club in Orlando, Florida - a night of music, dancing and fellowship.

Shortly after 2 a.m., an assailant opened fire on people inside the club.

49 people lost their lives and more than 50 were injured - making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

The attack targeted a place where many in the LGBTQ+ and Latino communities hung out and felt safe - and the effects were far-reaching.

Today, there are plans for a permanent memorial at the site of the club, as a way to honor the victims, support survivors, and send a message that such violence against LGBTQ+ people and communities is not acceptable.
