The Transflaggan was designed by the American transfighter Monica Helms in 1999 and represents the trans-community.
Light blue, traditional color for boys
Pink, traditional color for girls
White, for those who are intersexual, undergo sex correction treatment or consider themselves neutral or undefined gender. (Some want to change their body, others not)
In many cities the transflag is raised during both the pride festivals and the Transgender Day of Remembrance, the memorial day of November 20, each year, reminding and showing respect for transgender killed in hate crime.
